1+: back to basic. 9:34:00 PM

It's heart breaking yet interesting to learn that homo sapiens have extraordinary adaptive ability.

believe it or not, we can actually live without anyone.

when people, who really matter, leave us, we cry, we break down, we curse, we howl for maybe 230947384 days. and then we get better and life goes on.

people and things around us evolve too fast sometimes you don't even know what and who to believe in, anymore.

when's the last time you get fascinated by bubbles floating in the air?

I think my character has become so diluted that sometimes i don't even get me anymore.

oh btw, I'm back in Perth T___T (from Canberra, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Adelaide for 2 weeks btw) finally back to my warm cosy bed and own comfort zone and loneliness too =(

believe it or not, I actually find Adelaide, where everyone claims as a kampung, is a more enjoyable part of the trip compared to Gold Coast, the famous tourist spots with 5 mega theme parks. I thought I'm the only one who has this different weird opinion because I have my good friend there until I found out that Ling Weng and Yee Fang feel the same =)

I guess it's the company that matters, afterall. No matter how fun and interesting a place is, once u go with the wrong companion, everything can go wrong. And vice versa.

I guess people who haven't been to Adelaide and Perth should stop telling others Adelaide is like terengganu, Perth is like Kuantan. It really makes them sound very idiotic for making assumptions out loud before they even take effort to verify the so-called statement.

Let me, the wise budget traveller (a term created during the trip, haha) tell u where's fun and where's not.

Melbourne is the best of all,
Sydney is more to KL-hustle-and-bustle-city alike,
Canberra is a small peaceful town with gloomy weather and buildings during winter,
Brisbane is a crowded city with LOADS of hills that taking a bus is like taking a mild roller coaster,
Gold Coast is the right place for excitement and laughters only with the right people,
Adelaide is not as small as what everyone thinks, at least I had so much fun there,
Perth has many places of interest too, but only accessible via private cars or long journey of public transport

well that still depends on individual's liking. coz apparently Sarah loves Sydney more than Melbourne, but then I shouldn't really take her opinion into account as she proudly claims that others think Sydney is a smaller version of Auckland. Hah, the biggest joke of the year. I don't think there's any city in New Zealand is any bigger than Sydney (and this opinion is made based on experience and observation).

Hahndroff, a small magical german village 45mins bus ride away from adelaide city.

This morning, I woke up at 5.30am to welcome a friend's mom and her friend at the airport. We then had breakfast at Farrel's, which serves BIG AMERICAN BREAKFAST hoho my fav! I had 3 american breakfasts in 2 weeks time, ahhh the bliss~~ The crispy bacon, fried egg, hash brown, pancakes, sausages plus a glass of fresh orange juice. Having a breakfast like this, you just have the feeling that you will enjoy the rest of the day =D

Oh I was actually trying to say, my friend's mom's friend is from terengganu! This world is so small it started to freak me out. At first I thought aunty is siong yong's mom when she mentioned about him. AND THEN only I realised she's leena's mom. What a small small world. (and when I'm typing this, I saw siong yong's msn signing in how creepy is the coincidence omg). I feel so homely when aunty and I talked about kt.

Homesicknessssss.

my sis and my fav house maid! who's leaving for good, very soon T__T

Btw, special thanks to all the hosts in Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide who offered accommodation and took the time and effort to bring us around! even when I hardly know some of you back in Intec.

Canberra: Sze Huey, Yeam, Shereen
Brisbane: Jess, Peifei and friends, Ee li, June, Kimber, Wai Hong, Jun Hong
Adelaide: my Chui Chui, Weina, Adeline, class rep aka xiao shan (and by that I forget his real name hahaha), Doreen, Ah Heng, Chien Yen.

*if I accidentally leave anyone's name out, please do let me know!

please do come to perth so that I can be an interesting, responsible and caring host for once! Chui Shin, Weina and Adeline are coming this dec, omg I'm starting to get nervous where to bring them, what to recommend, will they like it here omg omg.

Photos will be up once I got them. Since I still have 3 weeks holidays with zero plan, I guess I have no excuse not to blog about my trip, unlike last year! only 2 posts for 3 weeks vacation in new zealand can die.

1+: can-be-rra 9:34:00 PM

hallo people I'm now in Canberra! Shuey's room to be precise but she's not here with us =(

she leaves her whole studio room for 3 of us and stays at her friend's place to study for finals. I feel so touched T__T sacrifices the warm cosy room for us when she needs it the most T__T shuey didn't I tell u how much I love u? =3

today's indeed a tiring day as the journey started with a 2am flight last night. VERY ungodly hours for traveling. I was sandwiched between the two ladies who slept soundly despite the very shaky and unstable flight AND the loud chit chat between the air stewardess (>.<). When thet plane touched down, they automatically woke up and gave me a satisfying smile "ahhh I've never had such deep sleep before!" babi la them.

reached adelaide at 6am =.= then we were stranded at the airport for 7hours before our next transit flight. We bought our breakfast and sat at the same cafe same chair until 12pm where my butt almost cracked ok i'm just kidding. Then another 1.5hours flight with loads of crying babies involved, ta-da! here we are!

canberra looks a bit gloomy to me. Almost every building came into sight is grey in colours. and brown. The fact that there's vapour coming out of my mouth everytime I speak or exhale deeply, amazes and excites me. Err not that we don't have it back in perth, but it usually only happens in morning, WHICH apparently has nothing to do with me coz i'll NEVER wake up early before 10 if not necessary hahahaha.

Yeam came to pick us up too! Everyone is busy preparing for exams but they still came to welcome us and help us to settle down T__T Why do I deserve such good friends? I bought them roc handmade candy, and then I saw there's one bottle of the same candy in shuey's room, covered with dust. WRONG CHOICE OF SOUVENIR, totally. Shuey u must eat okay! the cheeky monkey chai candy hahahaha.

suddenly I miss my own bed @.@ but i love this studio room a lot! so warm and cosy yet spacious! and now I'm hungry, so I shall go grab some bread (sarah's fav) and eat while watching hk series shuey have! hoho shuey u're the best!

okay i shall end this aburptly coz it sounds cool.. and random. haha wtf.

1+: pas. ta. zan. mai. 12:05:00 AM

Hallowww *waves*

I've been back from KL for more than a week yet I didn't take the effort to blog about the trip. And because I took a stupid nap from 7.30pm to 9pm just now I reckon I'll not sleep early anymore so uhhh what the heck why not spend this lonely (actually not so lonely because I'm so busy bullying my sister haha) night blogging.

But before that, special credit to all the lengcais and lengluis who hung out with me in kl! Especially Jane, Shufen, Chui Shin and my beloved cousin who drove me around =)) love love!

Sorry Jane, I'll not blog about our lovely meal in Tenji because I must leave the best for the last *roll eyes*

Instead, I'm gonna blog about another Japanese restaurant, Pasta Zanmai! heh.

I know I'm quite outdated to only discover this restaurant now, mind you I only get to spend 25% of my 365 days in Malaysia, and even less in kl hah. You know what, I haven't even tried Sushi Zanmai before, slap me please!

Compared to Sushi King, Pasta Zanmai is a relatively small Japanese restaurant located at the ground floor of 1Utama, somewhere near Friday's and Yishion. The location is super not prominent okay we just happened to pass by and oh there's actually a japanese restaurant here and then we randomly walked in.

But the interior design of this restaurant is very comfy and stylish!

I love the individual nest (or semi?) circle seats which give the customers spacious but private corner to enjoy their meal.

Photobucket

view from the chair.
I don't really know why this photo is taken and posted don't ask so much okay!

As there were only two of us and my cousin has a stomach as tiny as an ant's, we only ordered two types of pasta and a dessert.

Speaking of my cousin, she always complained about how hungry she was when we were shopping but when we finally got us some food she would only took a few bites and threw the rest to me T___T but worry not, instead of gaining weight, I lost about 5kgs hahahahahaha I don't even know why! Told you oz air itself is fattening!

Okay sidetrack sidetrack! I was saying... each of us got to choose one type of pasta okay please don't distract me again.

So I chose

Photobucket
Teriyaki Chicken Onsen Wafu (Rm 19)

It was alright but the amount of chicken given failed to fill my giant stomach at all. Oh it came with a soft boiled egg too, very tender and light melike! I don't understand the purpose of having a piece of leaf in the bowl though.

My cousin went for

Photobucket
Salmon Sashimi Ikura Wafu (Rm 23)

This is the second yummiest japanese pasta ever! after the one I had in Japan of cause la right *smack head* The roes were humongous and the sashimi were fresh and thick omgomgomg. There's a few drops of pasta sauce just enough to fill the base of the bowl. It wasn't too strong that it covered the freshness of sashimi but nice enough to mix with the tasteless pasta.

In the end I ate the sashimi pasta more haha but I had to finish the teriyaki one too because my cousin said the restaurant was too cold that she couldn't consume much hahaha what the.

Oh and we had a jar of iced lemon tea too and trust me this is the nicest iced lemon tea I've ever had! Although I was feeling ultra full that I might throw up anytime, I die die also wanna finish this lemon tea because it's so cooling and nice and sour sweet (TvT) okay maybe I compare it to Yeo's lemon tea that's why.

Photobucket
Iced Lemon Tea (Rm 12)
Sorry for the salah focus I didn't realise it until I transfered it to laptop.

The dessert we had was

Photobucket

Green Tea Macha macha Ice Cream (Rm 15)

It came with one scoop of rich green tea ice cream immersed in cream which isn't too annoyingly sweet, covering one table spoon of sweet red bean paste and corn flakes as the second layer and cincau as the bottom layer. Oh and a piece of waffle thingy.

Believe it or not, it feels like heaven when I put the first spoon onto my taste buds. Highly recommended!!! When my cousin said she was feeling very full (again) I IMMEDIATELY offered to help her to finish up the ice cream hahahaha I'm so helpful can!

It costed me Rm 79.35 for this wonderful lunch. Never feel regret because it's really worth the $$$! So much better than Tenji *eyes with anger*

Sometimes I wonder why won't the restaurant just include tax and service charge in the food price list as we'll have to pay anyway and this can give us a clearer view of the amount of money we're gonna spend.

Anyway I love Japanese food so much I can marry a Japanese guy errrrr I'm half kidding. I cannot comprehend people who don't eat sashimi just because they are raw full of worms and all that, Japanese has the longest lifespan okay you don't see them dying from having worms eating away their organs and brains. Wake up people! You're missing one of the best food in the world! Sigh.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Photobucket

The only time where wearing red does not signify lala but prosperity and happiness, and all of us get to gather around and have fun together! not to forget the red packets given by rich and generous relatives hahahaha.

Petronas CNY ad 2009

If you think you are too cool to realise the importance of CNY, watch this. I understand that not everyone is lucky to have caring and supportive family but a family is still a family, who bring us to this wonderful world by bearing excruciating pain without any complaints and raise us without asking for any repays.
